Oyster mushroom is an edible mushroom of the oyster mushroom genus of the Oyster family. A rather large mushroom with a fleshy, solid, rounded cap with a diameter of 5–20 (30) cm. The stem is short, dense, eccentric or lateral, cylindrical, tapering towards the base, often curved.
