Anona (soursop)
This fruit looks like a green spiny hedgehog and is shunned by many because of its strange appearance. And in vain: annona (or guanabana, soursop) is a sweet tropical fruit, which is even credited with healing properties.
There are more than a hundred varieties of this plant, it grows mainly in Central and South America, as well as in Africa. Annona is also grown in Egypt, and very successfully.
Annona consists of slices, each has a large black inedible bone inside. The fruit is juicy, the pulp is tender, it is recommended to serve it chilled.
Annona pulp is rich in B vitamins. Nutritionists advise eating annona along with nuts so that the vitamins are absorbed to the maximum extent.
You can make a wonderful fruit salad from annona, shading its sweetness with citrus fruits, as well as sorbet.
