Description
Refreshing non-alcoholic highly carbonated drink Dr Pepper Regular (Classic). Dr Pepper Classic is a unique combination of 23 different flavors (amaretto, almond, blackberry, black licorice, carrot, clove, cherry, caramel, cola, ginger, juniper, lemon, molasses, nutmeg, orange, prunes, plum, pepper, rum, raspberry, vanilla and the secret ingredient of the manufacturer).
The drink was first offered to customers at Morrison's Old Corner Pharmacy in Waco, Texas (Waco, Texas) in 1885. According to legend, the soda is named after Dr. Charles Pepper, whose daughter was once in love with the owner of the pharmacy and the first seller of the drink Wade Morrison (Wade Morrison). A rather strange legend, why not name the drink in honor of the girl herself ... There are about a dozen more legends, but no one knows the true reason for the name. In the 50s, the dot in the name began to be skipped, according to company historians, due to the use of a different font, and now this spelling has been fixed. The drink was created by a pharmacist who worked for Morrison - Charles Alderton (Charles Alderton), he long sought his favorite fruit flavor and the resulting drink soon became the most popular in the area. The entire history of Dr Pepper is surrounded by legends, just as no one knows exactly where the name of the drink came from, so no one knows for sure if soda has anything to do with one of the most popular music albums of all time. Of course, it's The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band" - "Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club". According to one version, initially there was a doctor instead of a sergeant, but the musicians were afraid of accusations of plagiarism and changed the name.
