Description
Canned sugar corn Funny vegetables
In our countries, two types of corn are most often on sale: feed and sugar (food). It is sugar intended for consumption. The feed grade is used exclusively for animals. To enjoy the mild taste of cobs, learn to distinguish between these two varieties. In fodder corn, the grains are harsh and have a rich color. In sugar – small and slightly yellow, at the beginning of maturation, even milk. The older the corn, the harder and yellower it is.
Fodder corn is unpretentious when grown. From its grains we get flour, starch, oil. The fodder variety will not even notice the night temperature drop, it will stand in any weather. When you click on a grain of this variety, it will crack, but no liquid will flow out.
When you click on the grains of dairy corn, you can get droplets of viscous white liquid. If the grains have begun to change, namely, to dry out and become covered with pits on top, such corn is not suitable for nutrition. In young cobs, the shape of the grains is always rounded, without temporary dents.
