Description
White beans in tomato sauce are used in Egypt when preparing a dish that is served with rice
This dish is both delicious and healthy. It's called a bean. Beans are traditionally made without meat. But it can be fried and added to the sauce.
Components:
white beans – 0.3 kg,
onion (large)- 2 pcs,
tomato paste – 3 tablespoons (you can use canned white beans in tomato sauce),
red pepper in flakes – 1 teaspoon,
water (hot) – 3 cups,
salt,
olive oil.
large onions (cut),
three tablespoons of tomato paste,
a teaspoon of red pepper flakes,
two or three glasses of hot water, salt. You can add dried chili peppers.
Preparation If you have chosen canned white beans in tomato sauce, you can not soak. If dry white beans are used, it should be soaked in water, in a volumetric container — overnight or at least 12 hours.
The next day, bring the beans to a boil (if you use dry, add more water if the beans have absorbed a lot of liquid).
Add salt and simmer until the beans are soft. Then remove from the heat, remove excess water.
In another saucepan, heat the olive oil.
Add the onion and fry until it becomes translucent.
Then — tomato paste, red pepper flakes and dried chili, if you like spicy.
Add hot water and pour the beans into the second bowl with the sauce, simmer for another half hour.
Beans are served hot: with rice or on top of it.
The dish is best combined with pickled cucumbers, carrots, cabbage, tomatoes.
